Do you know how to judge the HDTV’s p count? I believe the ‘p’ stands for pixel or something like that.?
I want to purchase a 22″ Philips HDTV. It is on sale for $249.99 at Future Shop. The description is as follows: 750p; 2x HDMI; 2800:1 dynamic contrast. I think this is a good price. Do I have to sign up and spend more on my cable service? I don’t care if I have anything extra than I have now which is just basic but I really want a slim TV. Thanks for your help.

the “p” in te measure of TVs stands for progressive, as opposed to interlaced “i” you will see tvs are commonly either 1080p or 1080i, all you need to know is that 1080p is the best, so if it has that thats great, if not if your just after a basic set then i wouldnt worry too much, also all flat screens come with a range of connections at the back so you should just be able to put the new set in where the old one was and plug everything in, without any trouble.
you would need to sign up if you wanted to receive HD footage but again if you just want the same channels you have now but with a new television, then you dont need to, hope that helps
