Help HD PS3?
I went to the store circuit city and they have a tv stand that has a ps3 and allows customers to play demos. So i played the demo mlb 08 the show on for the ps3 on the tv they had and it looked awsome and so much more real than my ps3 on tv at home.
Can anybody tell me what the difference is, and what those t.v’s have that mine doesnt.
I would not say its your TV that gives off hd. Its from an optional cable you must buy.
In stock when you buy a Ps3 you would get an normal AV cable (The red,white,yellow cable) and that can only give an output resolution of 420 pixels, which is not hd.
That store must of had a HDMI cable or a component cable. HDMI cables give off Full HD resolution (1080) while a component cable gives off 720.
If you are going to go out to buy a HDMI or Component cable, see if your TV can support the resolutions. You can most likely check the back of the Tv if the slots fit.
Though im assuming you have quite a big screen (no?) because 420 on big tvs isnt that nice. The text becomes blurry, and well everything is a blur.
Heres a picture difference. On big screens, the resolution difference matters alot.

Oh and if you do decide to get the cable, to change the output resolution go to the Ps3 home, go to settings > display > output resolution > select your new hd cable > choose your 720 or 1080 Hd resolution.
